The National JROTC Leadership Foundation
The National JROTC Leadership Foundation is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering today’s youth, supporting Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) programs in high schools, and fostering the development of tomorrow’s leaders. Founded with a vision of instilling leadership skills, character, and civic responsibility, the foundation plays a vital role in shaping the future of young cadets across the United States.
The National JROTC Leadership Foundation traces its roots to a serendipitous meeting between two dedicated mothers at a JROTC Raiders competition. Their sons, both in the 9th grade at the time, were participants, and as the competition unfolded, a friendship blossomed between the two women. As the Raiders season progressed, they began to share observations and concerns about the JROTC programs in their community. They noticed that, despite the potential, these programs were struggling due to a lack of financial resources and support.
Determined to make a difference, they embarked on a mission to provide the much-needed assistance that could transform these programs. They envisioned a foundation that could offer grants to JROTC programs, enabling them to purchase essential equipment and offer services that were previously out of reach for many students.
With their belief in the value of leadership and character education, the two moms established the National JROTC Leadership Foundation. The foundation quickly became a beacon of hope for JROTC programs, offering not just financial aid but also a commitment to the personal and professional growth of young leaders.
Today, the National JROTC Leadership Foundation stands as a testament to the power of community and the impact of collective action. It continues to support and inspire high school students, helping them to develop the skills and confidence needed to lead with integrity and honor. The foundation’s story is one of passion, perseverance, and the enduring belief that every student has the potential to become a leader of tomorrow.
